Transportation Legislation
June 16, 2009, 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. / Presented by: Tom Leslie, Director of External Affairs for the Georgia Engineering Alliance
About the seminar:
For the past 3-4 years the need for enhanced transportation funding in Georgia has been much studied and debated. The General Assembly has failed to pass legislation to address the need in both the 2008 and the 2009 sessions. Is there a clear case for funding? Why has funding legislation failed? What are the prospects for the 2010 session? Who advocates and why? Who are the opponents and why? What is the strategy for success? The time for deep thinking on this issue is right now! If you wait until after summer vacation, it’s probably too late.
